The recipes that started this whole project. These are from my family's collection, converted with the same tool you see on this site.
These are a few of the recipes I rescued from that subscription app. They've been in my family for years.

This one shows up at every holiday. My grandma would make it the morning of and let it sit in the fridge until people started arriving. It never lasted long.
Ingredients
- 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped fine
- 2.5 oz jar dried beef, chopped fine
Directions
- Mix all ingredients together and roll into a ball.
- Roll in a bowl of finely chopped walnuts.
- Enjoy with a variety of crackers.
Sour Cream Enchiladas
Another Grandma original. She never measured anything exactly, so these proportions are our best reconstruction. They're close enough that nobody can tell the difference.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs hamburger
- 8 oz sour cream
- 1 small can green chilies
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 small chopped onion
- 2 cups grated cheddar/jack cheese
- Large flour tortillas
Directions
- Fry the hamburger.
- Mix sour cream, green chilies, cream of chicken soup, and chopped onion together for the sauce.
- Using large flour tortillas, fill with hamburger, cheese, and sauce.
- Roll up and place in a 9x13 baking dish.
- Spread remaining sauce and cheese on top.
- Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
My mom's recipe. Nothing fancy, no secret tricks. Just the cookies I grew up eating.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3 cups flour
- 1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Cream the sugars and butter together.
- Add eggs and vanilla.
- Mix in dry ingredients.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350°F for 10 minutes.
